Shurtape UK, the manufacturer of leading brands Duck Tape® and FrogTape®, is delighted to announce the launch of a new 'Delicate Surface' painter's masking tape at this year's show.
The company will demonstrate its innovative range of FrogTape® painter's masking tapes together with its portfolio of Duck Tape® products on Stand C41.
Alan Murray, head of marketing, at Shurtape tells us: "We launched FrogTape® Multi-Surface last year in answer to consumers who had become disillusioned with using the traditional masking tape products available on the market.
"Since then, the product has been a real hit as consumers have quickly recognised that FrogTape® delivers on very sharp paint lines. A refreshing end result within a marketplace where a lot of other products fall short. This in turn has meant great results for our retailers.
"We expect the same results from our new FrogTape® Delicate Surface painter's masking tape which has been specially developed for use on wallpaper, freshly painted surfaces, newly plastered walls, treated wood, veneer, laminate, vinyl and more.
"Like the original FrogTape® Multi-Surface, new Delicate Surface removes cleanly without leaving a residue because of its special low-tack formula. Additionally, the unique washi paper which was designed for delicate surfaces has a translucent appearance that allows consumers to easily see the area they are masking."
FrogTape® Delicate Surface is the only painter's masking tape alongside its Multi-Surface counterpart to be treated with PaintBlock® Technology. PaintBlock® reacts with emulsion paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, preventing paint bleed.
The result is very sharp paint lines and less time spent on touch-ups saving valuable time and money.
FrogTape® Delicate Surface is perfect for helping consumers achieve the current trend for introducing visual effects such as classic stripes into their homes as well as dramatic feature walls utilising wallpapers.
Says Murray: "We want to make it clear and easy for consumers to choose the right FrogTape® product for the right job, so the reverse of the pack also features a handy table to help them decide which FrogTape® product should be used for specific decorating tasks and painting projects."
Both products will be demonstrated throughout the show by Andrew Dickens at the Retail Tool Box demonstration area.
The company will also be building on its heritage of Duck Tape®, which is already one of the most respected cloth-tape brands amongst consumers in the UK.
Their recently launched Ultimate Duck Tape® is now the best ever. This incredibly thick and super-strong multi-surface, waterproof tape is a first-aid-kit on a roll. Suitable for literally 1000's of uses, Duck Tape® can be used to repair, create and fix projects inside the home or outdoors.
Murray says: "Our vibrant, eye-catching packaging ensures real stand-out presence on the shop floor for both FrogTape® and Duck Tape® products and consumers will easily spot our highly-visible merchandising units - helping retailers to maximise on sales opportunities."
The new FrogTape® and Duck Tape® Ultimate will be supported by extensive TV advertising and PR campaigns during 2012.
"By increasing brand awareness among existing customers and broadening our potential customer base, we are endeavouring to support our retailers and help them drive sales forward this year" concludes Murray.
